Welcome to InkyBites! I’m so glad you stopped by. Here are answers to the most common questions I get from readers to get you started:

1. Who is this site for?

InkyBites is for anyone who wants to nurture their creativity and learn how to sustain it for the long-haul. It’s my belief that with a few key food and lifestyle changes, as well as some creativity routines, you can easily live at your creative best.

2. But what if I’m not creative?

Don’t worry—you are. Everyone was born with creativity inside them. It’s just that some people have nurtured that part of themselves for so long it’s become as natural as breathing; and other people have all but ignored that part of themselves.

But with a little nourishment, you can make the creative part of you come alive.

Try some of these creativity tools to get you started.

3. What Is Primary Food?

Primary Food is a philosophy created by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (where I earned my health coaching certification), and includes the things that feed you better than food ever could: your relationships, career, spirituality and exercise routine. I also like to think of creativity as a Primary Food because as a writer, you have to feed this part of you to feel completely fulfilled.

You can learn more about Primary Food by reading this blog post.

4. Who’s behind InkyBites?

That’s Jennifer Blanchard and Weiland, her Toy Poodle. She’s the Resident Creative; he’s the InkyBites mascot and creative muse. Learn more about them over here.

5. Which posts should I read first?

Start with the InkyBites Philosophy. That way you have a birds-eye overview of what this site and community are really all about. If that jives with you, next visit the “Creativity Resources” page and grab some fun exercises you can use to begin awakening your creative juices.

6. How Come Some Posts Require A Password?

Throughout the site you may come across a random blog post or two that has the word “Protected” before the title. These posts are exclusively for InkyBites newsletter subscribers.

When I’m running a contest or something just for subscribers, I send the password out in the weekly newsletter.

Want in? It’s free! And you’ll immediately get an awesome eGuide that has smoothie recipes and other fun snacks to help give you mental clarity for your next writing session.

Plus you’ll also get the weekly newsletter and the password to take part in the cool giveaways and what not.
